Single Arch Cases

Prior to starting a case download our impression manual

Use the Uni attachment that is OPPOSITE the tray orientation:

Uni attachment trays are used for VD, CR and bite capture. Adjust the pin by rotating it clockwise to find the right VD. Use the center pin as the tracing unit for gothic arch tracing and CR capture. Seat the lower tray firmly with fingers while capturing bite.

A. Maxillary Single Arch Dentures:

Maxillary Single Arch — Patient has mandibular teeth or existing mandibular dentures. Use the Mandibular Uni-attachment: Attach the crescent-shaped uni-attachment (mandibular) to the opposing side with PVS for the maxillary single arch procedure.

*When taking a single arch denture, please make sure to also take an impression of the lower denture. The laboratory will be creating a model.

B. Mandibular Single Arch Dentures:

Mandibular Single Arch — Patient has maxillary teeth or existing maxillary dentures. Use the Maxillary Uni-attachment: Attach the half-circle-shaped uni-attachment (maxillary) to the opposing side with PVS for the mandibular single arch procedcure.

*When taking a single arch denture, please make sure to also take an impression of the lower denture. The laboratory will be creating a model.

Patient has mandibular teeth or existing dentures. Attach the crescent-shaped uni-attachment (mandibular) to the opposing side with PVS. Maxillary Impression Tray + Pin and Mandibular Uni-Attachment + Bite Registration Stone Cast Opposing Side.

B. Mandibular Single Arch Procedure:

Patient has maxillary teeth or existing dentures. Attach the half-circle uni-attachment (maxillary) to the opposing side with PVS. Mandibular Impression Tray and Pin + Maxillary Uni-Attachment + Bite Registration + Stone Cast Opposing Side.

Bite Registration

Capture VD and CR by inserting the center pin into the Mandibular Uni-Attachment Tray. Use Gothic Arch Tracing against the flat side of the Maxillary Impression Tray to capture the optimal centric relation (CR). Drill a small dimple at CR point which the center point will lock into. The dimple will prevent slippage when taking the bite registration.
